Charter Care Services and WheelChair Vehicle Sales announced as Major Partners for the Wheelchair Rugby National League – Brisbane Bash

Wheelchair Rugby Australia (WRA) are excited to announce a new partnership with Charter Care Services and WheelChair Vehicle Sales as the Major Sponsors of the Charter Care Wheelchair Rugby National League round this month.

The agreement comes as a timely boost to preparations for Wheelchair Rugby Queensland, as they look to deliver the three-day event for the first time at Hibiscus Stadium on Friday 21 – Sunday 23 June.

The 2024 instalment of the event is set to break the National League record for numbers, with an astonishing nine (9) teams confirmed for the Brisbane round, across 2 divisions, in what will be the last chance to see the Australian Steelers players turning out for their clubs before the Paris Paralympics later in the year.

Speaking on the announcement, Wheelchair Rugby Australia’s CEO Chris Nay said, “We’re delighted to welcome Charter Care Services and WheelChair Vehicle Sales to the wheelchair rugby family as the Major Partners of the Brisbane Round”.

“On top of the sponsorship, Charter Care Services and WheelChair Vehicle Sales will be the sole transport providers for the event, ensuring the safe and effective transit of all event participants across the weekend. We have full faith this will be a meaningful and lasting relationship given the dealings we have had with Paul and Brent and their teams”.

In a joint statement, Paul Clark (Charter Care Services) and Brent Christofferson (WheelChair Vehicle Sales) said “We are absolutely thrilled to announce our sponsorship of Wheelchair Rugby Australia's Brisbane Bash.”

“We sincerely appreciate the opportunity to collaborate with such an incredible organisation like Wheelchair Rugby Australia. As we embark on this exciting partnership, we eagerly anticipate fostering a remarkable and long-lasting relationship. We genuinely look forward to working closely together in the future, not only to support Wheelchair Rugby Australia but also to make a positive impact in our community.”

The 2024 Charter Care Wheelchair Rugby National League – Brisbane Bash will commence on Friday 21 June, with three days of play across two divisions set to showcase world class wheelchair rugby in Brisbane, right before the Steelers head to the Paralympic Games in Paris.
