Vale Aaron Camm
It is with a heavy heart today that we learnt of the passing of Aaron Camm.
Aaron was the Head Coach of the Wheelchair Rugby WA program and was a much-loved figure of the wheelchair rugby community more broadly. Aaron contributed to the West Coast Enforcers for a number of years as a player, and in 2021 became the inaugural recipient of the Quentin Fleischfresser Spirit of the Game Award, an acknowledgement of an individual’s commitment and unwavering contribution to the sport of wheelchair rugby.
With his playing days behind him, Aaron continued to give his time to the game through coaching, where he rapidly rose to become the current coach of the WA program.
On top of his outstanding contribution to the sport, Aaron was a person of high integrity, with an infectious personality and was a very popular and widely respected member of our community.
Aaron’s impact and legacy on wheelchair rugby will not be forgotten. Our thoughts go out to those who knew and loved him.
Rest in Peace
