Degnan extend wheelchair rugby partnership for a further three years
Wheelchair Rugby Australia (WRA) is delighted to announce that leading construction company Degnan has extended their partnership for a further three years.
Having first sampled wheelchair rugby as a sponsor in 2022, Degnan have made immeasurable contributions to the sport over the past two years, increasing opportunities for players to participate at a pathway level.
Speaking on the extension, Wheelchair Rugby Australia’s CEO Chris Nay said, “The team at Degnan have made a significant and lasting impact on our sport. Their staff often travel interstate to attend national events and I am often asked how else they can provide support to us and our participants. They genuinely care and are the example of what a committed partnership should look like.”

Wheelchair rugby is delivering substantial physical and mental health benefits to their athletes which deeply resonates with us at Degnan, aligning with our own mission to promote inclusivity, empowerment, and supporting community engagement for people with disabilities.“
The announcement aligns with the three-year agreement signed between Wheelchair Rugby Australia and the South Australian Government for the hosting of the Wheelchair Rugby National Championship from 2024.
